Play CS Surf in Your Browser
Surfd is a browser-based take on Counter-Strike-style surf, where you glide along angled ramps using air-strafing instead of running. This link opens surfd.net, a standalone site credited to @0yield, with timed runs on maps such as surf_boreas.

CS Surf background
Surf started as a custom map genre in the Counter-Strike community. Players found that the Source-family movement code lets you slide along steep sloped surfaces without falling, as long as you keep strafing toward the ramp. Map makers built whole courses around that quirk, and surf servers grew into a community of their own, with timers, tiers and world records.
Surfd recreates that movement in a web page instead of a game client. Its HUD says it uses 66 tick, Source-style surf physics, with Normal and Auto Bhop modes. The default map, surf_boreas, is credited to Syncronyze and labelled as a linear, Tier 1 course with two checkpoints. The site also has a map and server list, a practice area, route playback, personal-best and world-record tracking, and settings for key binds and turn binds. It is a separate fan project and is not affiliated with Valve.
How to play CS Surf
Each run starts in a green start zone and ends at a gold finish. On a ramp you let go of W and hold the strafe key toward the ramp face, then turn the mouse smoothly to steer your line and keep your speed. Falling off a ramp means restarting or going back to a checkpoint. The HUD shows your speed in units per second, your strafe sync and split times, so most sessions turn into repeating one course to shave time off a personal best.
- Open the page on a desktop computer with a keyboard and mouse, then wait for the map to load. You can play as a guest.
- Move and strafe with W A S D, jump with Space or mouse wheel down, duck with Shift, and look around with the mouse.
- On a ramp, release W, hold the strafe key that points toward the ramp, and turn the mouse gently in the same direction.
- Press R to restart a run or Esc to open the menu, where you can change maps, rebind keys or go to the practice area.
