Play Chainle in Your Browser
Chainle is a free daily word-association game at chainle.io: each day brings five rounds in which you type the single word that best links a set of clue words. Everyone gets the same puzzle.

Chainle background
A new Chainle puzzle is released every day at midnight Eastern Time, and the archive goes back to August 20, 2026. Krillion, a separate daily game, links to Chainle from its menu and describes it as a word association game made by the Krillion creator's younger brother.
Scoring is based on word meanings represented as numbers. According to the FAQ, each word in the game has a list of 300 numbers describing how it is used, and your guess is compared with each clue separately. The best answer the game found is called the strongest link, but other words that are just as close also earn full points. Some puzzles add hand-set credit for sensible answers that the data underrates. There are no accounts; progress is saved in your browser.
How to play Chainle
A daily game has five rounds: two-word bridges, a three-word bridge, and a closest-connection round with a single clue. You get one guess per round, worth up to 1,000 points, for a maximum of 5,000. Each clue grows a chain of up to eight links toward your word, and balance matters: in a two-word bridge, a word that misses one clue completely scores zero. Guesses must be single dictionary words; clue words, words built on them, plurals and names are not accepted. After the daily game you can play unlimited random rounds or past puzzles.
- Open chainle.io and start today's puzzle.
- Read the clue words and type one singular dictionary word that connects them.
- Check how long each clue's chain grows, then move on to the next round.
- After five rounds, share your score, or choose Play unlimited or the archive for more.
