Play Command & Conquer in Your Browser
Command & Conquer is Westwood Studios' 1995 real-time strategy game about the war between GDI and the Brotherhood of Nod. This page links to the original DOS release running in a browser emulator.

Command & Conquer background
Westwood Studios released Command & Conquer in 1995, building on the base-building formula it introduced in Dune II. Players gather Tiberium, build a base, and command units in campaigns for either the Global Defense Initiative or the Brotherhood of Nod.
Full-motion video briefings with live actors gave the series its signature style, and the game launched one of the longest-running RTS franchises. Electronic Arts made the original game freeware in 2007, and in 2020 released the source code of its remastered version.
How to play Command & Conquer
Each Command & Conquer mission opens with a briefing, then you build a base and an army. Harvesters collect Tiberium and bring it to your refinery for credits, which you spend on power plants, barracks, factories, and defenses through the sidebar on the right. Most missions end when you destroy the enemy base or complete a specific objective. Everything is controlled with the mouse: left-click a unit or drag a box to select a group, then click on the map to move or attack.
- Click the emulator window to focus it, then start a GDI or Nod campaign.
- Build a power plant first, then a refinery so your harvester can start earning credits.
- Use the sidebar to queue buildings and units.
- Select units with a click or a drag box, then click a target to move or attack.
