enclose.horse is a daily grid puzzle in which you place a limited number of walls to keep a horse enclosed in the largest possible meadow. This link is the game's official site.

enclose.horse background
According to its About page, enclose.horse was originally created by a developer known as Shivers, who started from an optimisation problem of the kind found in Leetcode or Advent of Code challenges and found the prototype fun enough to turn into a full game. It was first released at the end of December 2025.
The game is now developed and maintained by Ryan, who handles game design and daily puzzle curation, and Praveen, who works on backend systems, leaderboards and scoring. The same pair runs other daily puzzle and trivia games, including Travle and Worldle. Beyond the daily puzzle, the site has a weekly challenge, an archive of past puzzles, a strategy guide and a free level editor for sharing community puzzles.
How to play enclose.horse
Each puzzle is a grid of grass, water and other tiles with a horse somewhere on it. You tap grass tiles to place walls, up to the limit the puzzle allows. The horse moves only up, down, left and right and cannot cross walls or water, so any gap to the edge of the grid lets it escape. Your score is the number of grass tiles the horse is enclosed in. Some puzzles add cherries worth 3 points, golden apples worth 10, bee swarms that cost 5, and portals the horse can teleport between. You get one submission for the daily puzzle, after which you can compare scores and view the optimal solution.
- Open enclose.horse; first-time players can start with the tutorial.
- Tap grass tiles to place walls, keeping an eye on the walls counter.
- Tap the horse to preview where it can reach and check for gaps in your fence.
- When you are confident, submit your single attempt, then compare your score and see the optimal answer.
