Magnitudle background

Magnitudle describes itself as an independent daily games project created by a developer who goes by Teej and published through GriddleLink Games, the small studio that also makes GlobeHoppr and LinkyGrid. The site presents itself as the official home of Size It Up, which it calls the original daily visual size-estimation game.

Alongside Size It Up, the site has grown into a set of related number-sense games: Pop Culture and Geography variants of Size It Up, Weigh It Up for comparing weights, a Daily Question that asks for a single numerical estimate, a weekly ten-round challenge called the Weekly 1K, and a Survival mode. An archive lets you replay past puzzles, and the site keeps streaks, statistics and leaderboards.

How to play Magnitudle

In Size It Up, each round shows a blue reference silhouette next to a red silhouette that you can resize. You scale the red shape until the comparison looks true to life, for example how large an animal is next to a familiar object, then lock in your answer and the true size is revealed. Every round is worth up to 100 points, and an estimate within 6 percent of the correct size earns the full 100. A standard daily game has five comparisons, for a maximum score of 500.

1. Open magnitudle.com and choose Size It Up Daily, or another mode from the menu.
2. Look at the blue reference object and drag to resize the red silhouette.
3. Lock in your answer to see the true size and your score for the round.
4. Finish all five rounds and check your total out of 500.
