Play Minecraft Classic in Your Browser
Minecraft Classic is the 2009 creative-mode version of Minecraft, re-released by Mojang to play free in a browser. This page links to the official site.

Minecraft Classic background
Markus Persson released the earliest public version of Minecraft in 2009. That Classic version had no survival mode: players simply placed and removed a small set of blocks to build in a flat, blocky world.
For Minecraft's 10th anniversary in 2019, Mojang rebuilt Classic to run in the browser, complete with its original bugs and multiplayer via an invite link. It is an official, free release.
How to play Minecraft Classic
Minecraft Classic is pure building: there are no monsters, crafting, or health bar. You walk around a generated world and place or remove blocks from the small palette of original Classic blocks. You can share an invite link so friends can build in the same world with you.
- Enter a username to start in a new world.
- Move with W A S D, look around with the mouse, and jump with Space.
- Left-click to remove a block and right-click to place one.
- Press B to choose a different block, or share the invite link to build with friends.
