Play Infinite Craft in Your Browser
Infinite Craft is an open-ended crafting game by Neal Agarwal in which combining words creates new elements, generated by a large language model when a pairing has not been seen before. This link is the official version on neal.fun.

Infinite Craft background
Neal Agarwal started building Infinite Craft in mid-January 2024 and released the first version on neal.fun on January 31, 2024. It was inspired by element-combining games such as Little Alchemy and Doodle God, but instead of a fixed recipe list it uses Meta's Llama 2 language model to invent results for new combinations.
Each result is stored once it has been generated, so the same two elements always give the same answer for every player. The game spread quickly on social media as players shared strange chains of discoveries. Agarwal later released mobile versions for iOS and Android in spring 2024.
How to play Infinite Craft
You begin with four elements: water, fire, earth and wind. Dragging one onto another produces a new element with its own emoji, such as steam, lava or plant, and every result can be combined again. Because new pairings are generated rather than drawn from a closed list, the set of possible elements is effectively unlimited and quickly reaches people, places, films and abstract ideas. If you are the first player ever to create a particular element, it is marked as a First Discovery. There is no end goal beyond whatever target you set for yourself.
- Open the page on neal.fun; the four starting elements appear in the sidebar.
- Drag an element onto the open canvas, then drag another element on top of it to combine them.
- Use the search box in the sidebar to find elements you have already made as your list grows.
- Set yourself a target, such as a specific person or object, and work toward it step by step.
