Park Baron background

Park Baron is an indie game in early development, updated frequently; in October 2026 the site listed version 0.14.46, and each update is documented with before-and-after pictures in a public dev blog. It needs a browser with JavaScript and WebGL 2.

The game is free to play, with the free tier including a five-chapter campaign, a sandbox park on a small map, the core rides and two decoration themes, plus cloud saves. A one-time Premium purchase unlocks extra scenarios, larger sandbox maps and the full ride and theme list; the site states there are no ads or timers in the game.

How to play Park Baron

You lay out paths, rides, shops and scenery, shape land and water, and design coasters in a track editor with loops, launches and test runs that show G-force graphs. Running the park means hiring and directing staff, setting prices, managing research, loans and inflation, and coping with breakdowns, storms and critics. Guests travel in groups, leave star reviews and, in newer parks, discover rides by walking around. You can also drop to first person to walk the park or ride your own coaster.

  1. Open the page in a desktop browser with WebGL 2 enabled.
  2. Start with the free campaign's first chapter or open a sandbox park.
  3. Place paths and a few simple rides and food stalls before building a large coaster.
  4. Hire staff early and keep an eye on the park map's overlays for litter, queues and happiness.
