Songless is part of Lessgames, a collection of daily browser games that also includes word and trivia formats such as Clueless and More or Less. Its page sums up the idea in one line: "You know this song.. but can you name it from just 0.1 seconds?"

Each Songless round is tied to a category of music, and everyone plays the same daily challenge, which is numbered so results can be shared and compared. The game syncs a session across devices, and if you start on one device and continue on another it will stop the stale session to avoid conflicting results. How to play Songless

You hear a tiny clip from the start of the day's song and search for the title in a song list. A wrong guess or a skip unlocks a longer stretch of audio, so each attempt gives you more to work with, but you have only a limited number of guesses. The share result records the category, how many seconds of the song you needed and how many guesses it took, so the fewer seconds you need, the better your result.

3. If you are not sure, skip to hear a longer clip before guessing again.
